About Me
Renee grew up in San Diego and attended college in California and Florida and now resides in Texas. She is married to a retired Navy Master Chief and has one daughter. Renee has 19 years of experience in the areas of Business Analysis. She has 10 years of experience in the healthcare related industries working for organizations that provide either products or services to healthcare organizations, 5 years of experience with financial services organizations and 6 years of experience with organizations that work with Transportation related software and/or hardware.
Renee started out in more technical roles working in IT database management, and reporting and analytics supporting departments responsible for responding to external regulatory (state and federal) requests and requirements. Over the course of her career many organizations have implemented LEAN methodologies and Renee was an early LEAN Champion at PSS World Medical which has led her down the path to her increasing levels of responsibility in roles that focus on Process Optimization projects and Project Management. Renee returned to San Diego following the receipt of her husband’s Navy orders for a San Diego helicopter squadron. Since returning to San Diego most roles have been focused on Software Development requirements documentation and related project process optimization. Working at Cubic Transportation Systems introduced the Systems Engineering element to her experience and she has a new love (SE!), and caused her to recognize the Systems Engineering work she has performed in previous positions with other organizations such as JP Morgan Chase and Seamgen.
Renee enjoys cooking and developing recipes, her husband intends to enter the world of competition grilling after having retired from the US Navy. Her other interests include traveling, improving her Spanish speaking/reading skills and supporting her daughters’ interests in becoming an Graphic Artist. Reading and studying technology is less of a hobby and more of a requirement; as technology constantly changes Renee will be a lifelong learner in order to keep her knowledge of techniques and tools relevant.
